NSW and Queensland players will begin their push for Ashes selection in the annual Wheelchair State Challenge on Sunday July 13 at The Whitlam Leisure Centre in Sydney.

However, the Wheelchair State Challenge is more than just a game; it's a testament to state pride and determination.
2025 Wheelchair State Challenge
Queensland enter the 2025 match aiming for their fourth consecutive victory, having secured the title in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
NSW, with a rich history in the sport, is eager to reclaim the shield and disrupt Queensland's winning streak.
The much-anticipated annual showdown brings together the best athletes from each state in a fierce battle for bragging rights.
Known for its fast pace, bone-rattling hits, and incredible displays of skill, NRL Wheelchair continues to break barriers and showcase the power of inclusive sport.
Australia is ranked No.4 in the IRL World Rankings and the Wheelaroos are aiming to rise before the World Cup at the end of next year.
England, the No.1 ranked wheelchair nation in the IRL World Rankings, will play the Wheelaroos on October 30 and November during a trip they believe will be the perfect way to prepare for their World Cup defence in Australia in 2026.
The tourists will also play matches against NSW in Sydney on October 24 and Queensland on the Sunshine Coast on October 27.
