Sharks v Cowboys: Weekes debuts; Rick picks and sticks

The Cronulla Sharks are out to keep the points flowing when they host a desperate North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday evening.

The Sharks were at their electrifying best in last week's 56-6 victory over the Raiders, with Emma Verran scoring four tries.

The NSW star is one of the most dangerous players in the competition and North Queensland must shut the fullback down if they are to bounce back from a Round 2 loss to the Knights.

Cowboys halfback Kirra Dibb will look to lead her side around the park as they chase an improved attacking performance.

Cronulla have shown what they can do with ball in hand and coach Tony Herman is eager to see his players keep the points flowing while also locking down their opponents defensively.

Team News

Sharks: With Kiwi representative centre Annessa Biddle sitting out this week with suspension, last week's 18th player Grace-Lee Weekes has been named to start in her debut. That is the only change to the 17, with Koreti Leilua the new replacement player.

Cowboys: No changes made to Ricky Henry's 17 to take on the Sharks, with the coach giving his team the chance to respond to a disappointing outing against the Knights. Half Tahlulah Tillett is the new 18th player, with Ana Malupo remaining in the extended squad.
