Sharks v Wests Tigers: Biddle returns: Manera set to stand tall

The Sharks will be looking to bounce back following their upset loss to the Cowboys last week, but will have a fight on their hands against a desperate Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers are still searching for their first win of the season after going down to the Titans last week, but as they have all season so far, showed plenty of signs of positive things to come.

Winger Caitlin Turnbull scored a hat-trick in a losing cause, but has been a shining light for the team in her debut season.

In a seesawing game, the Sharks were outgunned by the Cowboys with both sides crossing for three tries, with some missed conversions proving the difference in the end.

Cronulla have now lost two of their opening three games by a margin of two points with a big 50+ win in between, so have found consistency hard to achieve and will be looking to start well and go on with the job against the Tigers.

Team News

Sharks: A couple of minor changes for Cronulla after last week's loss to the Cowboys, with Annessa Biddle straight back into the centres in her return from suspension. Manilita Takapautolo moves from the bench to the starting side after prop Jacinta Carter was placed in the head knock protocol. Grace-Lee Weekes moves from centre to the interchange as a result of the reshuffle.

Wests Tigers: Brett Kimmorley has shaken up his spine in a bid to spark his side as they chase their first win of the season. Last week's debutant Faythe Manera has been named at five-eighth and will partner Losana Lutu in the halves, while Pihuka Berryman-Duff is back in the No.9 jersey. Salma Nour reverts to the interchange as a result. Jessikah Reeves has been named on the bench in her return from a head knock.
